BOSTON– Veolia, a provider of environmental solutions across the U.S. and Canada, has officially opened its new North America headquarters at 100 Federal Street in Boston’s historic Financial District.

The new office, located on the third floor of the iconic First National Bank Building, will accommodate approximately 150 employees. It marks a continued commitment by Veolia to the City of Boston, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the broader New England region, where the company operates dozens of facilities and employs hundreds of workers.

The move follows nearly a decade at the company’s previous headquarters at 53 State Street, located just a short distance from the new site. Designed with environmental sustainability and collaboration in mind, the new space reflects Veolia’s global GreenUp strategy for growth and innovation. The layout includes a mix of individual workspaces, meeting rooms, and communal areas, all aimed at enhancing interaction and employee comfort in a modern, eco-conscious environment.

“Boston represents an ideal fit for the needs of Veolia as we continue to grow by meeting the environmental challenges of our customers,” said Bob Cappadona, President and CEO of Veolia’s Environmental Solutions and Services business. “Like Veolia, Boston is grounded in a rich history while also serving as a springboard for intellectual and engineering innovations that set forth a vision for the future.”

Cappadona added, “This new office location will allow us to engage with, attract and retain talent by tapping into a robust workforce centered in Boston, and to establish ourselves as an employer of choice as we continue to grow in the region as part of our GreenUp strategy.”

The company celebrated the milestone with a grand opening ceremony on June 26, where Veolia leaders and employees toured the new space and marked the beginning of this new chapter.

Across New England, Veolia manages water and wastewater systems in all six states and provides energy efficiency programs aimed at decarbonizing buildings in Boston and Cambridge. The company also offers advanced hazardous waste management services, particularly for the biotech sector, through a long-standing partnership with MassBio.

Veolia recently expanded its footprint in Massachusetts with the acquisition of New England Disposal Technologies and New England MedWaste. These acquisitions position the company as the operator of the state’s only permitted medical waste disposal facility and two of its three permitted household hazardous waste sites.
