Foxborough, MA— Suffolk, New England’s largest construction firm, and The Kraft Group marked a major milestone last week with the topping-off ceremony for the New England Patriots’ state-of-the-art training facility.
The event celebrated the placement of the final steel beam atop the new structure, located adjacent to Gillette Stadium, signifying that the project is progressing on schedule and on budget.
The new facility is designed to provide Patriots players, coaches, and staff with an advanced environment for training and development, and it will include a nutrition center, player lounge, open-concept locker room, expanded weight room, and a cutting-edge hydrotherapy suite with hot and cold plunge pools, an underwater treadmill, and additional recovery features. The weight room will open directly onto the team’s trio of practice fields.
“The Kraft Group is committed to delivering a quality product for its fans and providing its players and staff an unparalleled experience while they train at the Gillette Stadium campus,” said John Fish, Chairman and CEO of Suffolk. “We are honored to partner with The Kraft Group to build this important training facility for the New England Patriots, and we are thankful to the trade partners for their hard work and commitment to reaching this project milestone on time and on budget and look forward to the successful completion of the facility next spring.”
The building will also feature football administration offices, high-tech meeting rooms equipped with virtual reality tools, and a media workroom with direct access to both the practice fields and locker room — further enhancing the efficiency and experience for both team personnel and press.
“Suffolk is our long-time highly trusted partner for every complex construction project we take on,” said Jonathan Kraft, President of The Kraft Group. “They not only meet our timelines but do so while working around complicated jobsite logistics and constraints. The quality of the finished product is always at the highest level, and the overall value of their work is unparalleled. We are proud to work together to deliver this new training facility that will support the New England Patriots and provide our players, coaches, and staff with the environment and the resources they need to succeed both on and off the field.”
Designed by global architecture firm Populous, a longtime partner of The Kraft Group, the new facility has been created with a focus on long-term performance, innovation, and organizational integration.
“We’re designing not only for player performance, but also for the entire organization’s performance,” said Scott Capstack, senior principal and design director at Populous. “Intention and innovation drive our people-focused creative process, and The Kraft Group has collaborated every step of the way to create a space that will support the team well into the future.”
This training facility follows the recent $250 million renovation of Gillette Stadium — also completed in partnership with Suffolk — which included the construction of the 22-story Gillette Stadium Lighthouse, the new G-P Atrium premium space, and the installation of the nation’s largest outdoor curved videoboard.
The New England Patriots’ training facility is slated for completion in Spring 2026.
